Why they’re built this way

Engineered from lessons learnt on Southern African roads

Every design choice below came from running delivery fleets here — not from a catalogue. This is what SA road conditions taught us, and what it saves you.

Mid-drive motors, not hub motors

Potholes hammer the wheels — and on a hub-motor bike, the motor takes every hit. A single hub motor replacement runs in excess of R12,000. Our mid-mounted motors sit high in the frame, protected from impact, driving through a serviceable chain — so a pothole costs you a wheel check, not a motor.

CBS braking as standard

Combined braking distributes force across both wheels on every stop. The result: tyre and brake wear down by 40%, and a bike that’s safer and more predictable for riders doing hundreds of stops a shift.

Geometry tuned for stability

Length, width and wheelbase are sized for a planted, stable ride — less twitch under load, and far less trouble in crosswinds. If your riders work the Cape southeaster with a loaded top box, this is the difference they feel.

Specced for SA conditions, end to end

Bigger motors to hold speed over rough surfaces, reinforced running gear, and components chosen for local serviceability. These bikes weren’t adapted for Southern Africa — they were designed for it.
